Let folks know why The St. Paul Farmers' Market is the place to be!

WHERE HAS THE SUMMER GONE?

It's already August and before we know it we'll be getting ready for the State Fair, which means the kids will soon be back in school.  Wow..it all went so fast.  For us here at the St. Paul Farmers Market it means that we have hit the peak of the growing season.  It's a great time to start your canning.  There is an abundance of pickling cucumbers and dill at the market as well as tomatoes, peppers and garlic.  We have a variety of melons in now as well as apples and even some of the early squash.

This Saturday downtown you can take in the sounds of the Blue Tie Brass.  This quintet is made up of 5 college students, most of which are following a career path in music. They have a variety of music including a few Beatles songs.  We will also have the Friendship Farm with activities for kids, story time and even a scavenger hunt.  There is lots to do for the whole family.

Do you or someone you know receive benefits from the EBT program?  You can make your money go even further now by visiting us at the St. Paul Farmers' Market.  Visit us at the EBT tent where we will turn your benefits into tokens which you can spend at the market.  For the first $5 you take off your card we will match it with an additional $5 in market bucks.

You will receive the additional $5 each day you visit the market. (Extra $5 is once per day.)  This program is available through the generous support of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.  This program is also available at both of our Burnsville locations, Aldrich Arena, Signal Hills and our newest location at the Minnesota State Capitol.
